Advertising Overview

Instead of asking for donations or membership dues, erWEB offers targeted advertising in specific industry and consumer categories. We use all of the revenue generated through advertising to sustain and grow erWEB as a resource and to promote participating organizations through various print and web promotions that we present at events and tradeshows around the country.

erWEB offers several advertising options for our member organizations. Advertisements on erWEB are categorically related to the rest of the Enviro-Directory, which means that users will see your advertisement while browsing the categories that pertain to your product or service. To ensure that your ad will not be overlooked, advertising is available in several highly visible locations on each web page (except for the administrative and advanced search pages). Given the advertising options outlined below, you are sure to find a package that will reach your target audience and fit into your budget.

We do not provide "per click" or “per view” advertisements due to the high susceptibility to fraud and abuse. Instead, advertisements on erWEB run continually for a minimum of 6 months, and we produce monthly reports that allow our customers to monitor the performance of their ads. Six-month advertising rates are based on the type of ad, page location, and the number of pages that will feature the ad.

Important notes about categories and advertising: Because erWEB is an evolving resource, we reserve the right to add or remove consumer categories as we see fit. The industry categories may also change with time, because they are based on the NAICS, which is updated every five years by the US Census Bureau. As we learn more about each organization in erWEB, we may need to change their categorical associations to better reflect their role in the environmental industry. These changes may impact the placement of some advertisements, but each advertisement will still be displayed on at least the minimum number of pages shown in the Above Table. These changes are intended to make erWEB a more useful and comprehensive directory.
